We're a Peruvian family from Lima, with deep roots in the north of Perú. And for Peruvians, food is never just food. It's home.
About 10 years ago in Los Angeles, we kept hearing the same thing: people couldn't find the ají, the maíz morado, the products they grew up with. Restaurants were making do with substitutes. Families were going without. So we started REMAR to bring those flavors here.
Over the years we've built relationships with suppliers who share our standards, which lets us carry a wide variety of Peruvian and Hispanic products, from ají amarillo and huacatay to cancha, chicha morada, and the cookies and candy you remember from home.
Today we supply about 30 restaurants and 10 supermarkets across California and Las Vegas, helping them serve authentic Peruvian flavor every day. We're also the family behind Sumak Peruvian Restaurant, so we cook with the same products we sell.
And yes, ceviche lives in our hearts.
